About St Valery
St Valery, only 1.5 hours drive from the port of Calais is an excellent base for touring Northern France and all it has to offer.
This historic town is still a traditional scenic fishing port and has a fantastic Sunday market reflecting the local colour and atmosphere and is a good place to savour the local produce. The town centre has many interesting individual shops, supermarkets and fine restaurants where many traditional foods can be bought and eaten such as Tamour d'oiseau originating from this town.

Less than an hour’s drive from Calais. Relax in the comfort of our lovely flat, right on the beach of the only south facing resort in Northern France. Eat and drink in the towns many restaurants or cook your own fresh food from the local market and speciality fish and seafood stalls. The flat has 3 rooms and a bathroom, is easy to keep warm in winter, but has Velux windows and French doors onto the balcony to keep it light and airy in summer. Fully equipped with everything you could need. The residence leads directly to the beach and faces SW so you get the best of the sunshine. Easy access to food and wine for supplies to take home! Watch the light change as the tide fills the bay and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this wonderful little corner of France. There is loads to do in Le Crotoy and the surrounding area with enough to keep all ages happy. Not to mention the medieval town of St Valery which is only ten minutes away, well known by many historians as the port where William the conqueror set sail.
